Seems pretty high to me after buying EZD, crossgrading to SD3.I’ve already sank nearly $500 into Toontrack and wish there were some kind of discount for those who sank that kind of money into it.*Promotion good November 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. The stock kits are all great, but I have a love for Tama Starclassic kits and if I remember right, it was almost $200 for that expansion pack. The expansion packs are pretty expensive, which is a bummer. The EZD kits all sound good and you can still set it up so each drum goes to it’s own track in the DAW where you can add your own plug-ins, but you’re basically tweaking something that’s already tweaked.Īlso, you have the option to stack drums in SD3, so if you’re not getting enough meat in your snare, you can combine two snares within the VST and hopefully get what you’re looking for. It depends on how far down the rabbit hole of drum sounds you want to go. ![]() In SD3, you have the option of shutting off all the EQ/compression/reverb and using the raw drum sounds. Ultimately, I just wanted more control over the drum sounds, which you couldn’t get with EZD. ![]() I used EZD2 for 3-4 years before upgrading to SD3.
